Raisin Lava Lamp
What you will need
- Quart glass jar
- Baking soda
- Vinegar (preferably white)
How to make it
Fill the jar 3/4 up with water, then fill it the rest of the way with vinegar. Put about 1 tablespoon of soda into it. When some of the fizzing clears, drop a small handful of raisins in.
Watch the raisins rise to the top and drop back to the bottom.
How it works
The diluted vinegar reacts with the soda, releasing bubbles of carbon dioxide which cling to the wrinkles on the raisins, carrying them to the top of the liquid where the bubbles pop and the raisins sink to the bottom and collects more bubbles.
You can substitute:
- A can of ginger ale for water, baking soda, and vinegar.
- Anything wrinkly for raisins (not you grandmother)

I'm so glad you specified "not your grandmother!!"
Me and my brother made it and it was very neat
